What are the VFR fuel reserve requirements for an airplane?
Day VFR, you need enough fuel to reach the first point of intended landing and then fly for another 30 minutes at normal cruising speed. At night it is 45 minutes. Both figures assume forecast wind and weather. Rotorcraft carry a 20-minute reserve, day or night.
