Poland has placed its FA-50GF light combat aircraft on quick reaction alert (QRA) duty, the first time the South Korean-built light fighter has taken on armed air-defence standby for the NATO member state. Alert duty began on 1 October 2026, according to Brigadier General Norbert Chojnacki, commander of the 2nd Tactical Air Wing, who gave the date while speaking at a conference marking 20 years of F-16 operations in Poland.
